Company Investors and Advisors

We're somewhat of a secretive company. Which is why we've never said much about our team...yet. But we will tell you something about our investors and advisors, who we're really proud of. Here's a partial list:

  • Mike Markkula

Mike is a co-founder of Apple Computer and its initial angel investor. He was Apple's CEO from 1981-1983, and chairman from 1985-1997. He has since founded several companies including Echelon, maker of embedded control technology, where he serves on the Board. Mike endowed the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University, where he now chairs the Board of Trustees.

  • Mike McCue

Mike founded Tellme Networks in 1999 as the CEO, and has now joined Microsoft as the General Manager of the Tellme subsidiary. Previously, he was Vice President of Technology at Netscape, which he joined after they acquired the first company he founded, Paper Software, a leader in 3-D browser technology.

  • Stefan Roever

Stefan is lead-investor and Chairman of WRS Materials, a roll-up of several companies in the silicon materials sector. Before WRS, he was founder and CEO of Navio, a digital commerce service provider. He also co-founded Brokat Technologies in 1994 and served as CEO, taking it public in 1998 in Germany, and in 2001 on the NASDAQ.

  • Brad Handler

Brad is a co-founder of Exclusive Resorts, a luxury destination club, where he currently serves as vice chairman. Brad was an early employee at eBay, having served as its first in-house counsel, and was responsible for all legal issues as eBay grew from a small start-up through its IPO. Brad also lectures at both the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and at the University of Virginia School of Law.
